Advantages and disadvantages of plug valves

There are many types of valves, and each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Here are five major valve advantages and disadvantages, including gate valves, butterfly valves, ball valves, globe valves and plug valves. I hope to help you.

Cock valve: refers to a rotary valve with a plunger-shaped closure. After a 90° rotation, the channel port on the valve plug is communicated with or separated from the channel port on the valve body to achieve opening or closing. The shape of the valve plug can be cylindrical or conical. The principle is basically similar to that of the ball valve. The ball valve is developed on the basis of the plug valve. It is mainly used for oilfield excavation, and it is also used in petrochemical industry.

  advantage:

①Used for frequent operation, quick and easy opening and closing.

  ②The fluid resistance is small.

③ Simple, relatively small, light weight, easy to maintain.

  ④Good sealing performance.

⑤ Subject to the limitation of the installation direction, the flow direction of the medium can be arbitrary.

  ⑥No vibration and low noise.

  defect:

①The cover is too large, and the resulting torque is too large and not flexible enough.

②The body weight is affected, and the caliber is limited.

③In actual use, if a large-scale valve is used, an inverted plug structure must be used, which will easily affect the sealing effect
