Taike valve maintenance knowledge

Taike valves, like other mechanical products, require maintenance. Good maintenance work can significantly extend the service life of the valve.

1. Custody and maintenance of Taike valve

The purpose of storage and maintenance is to prevent Taike valves from being damaged during storage or reducing quality. In fact, improper storage is one of the important reasons for Taike valve damage.

Taike valves should be kept in an orderly manner. Small valves can be placed on the shelf, and large valves can be placed neatly on the floor of the warehouse. They should not be piled up and the flange connection surface should not directly touch the ground. This is not only for aesthetics, but more importantly, to protect the valve from being damaged. Due to improper storage or handling, the hand wheel is broken, the valve stem is bumped, and the fixing nut of the hand wheel and the valve stem is loose and lost, these unnecessary losses should be avoided.

For Taike valves that will not be used in a short period of time, asbestos packing should be taken out to avoid electrochemical corrosion and damage to the stem of Taike valves.

Taike valve inlet and outlet should be sealed with wax paper or plastic sheet to prevent dirt from entering and affecting the valve.

Valves that can rust in the atmosphere should be coated with anti-rust oil and protected to prevent rust.

Outdoor valves must be covered with rain-proof and dust-proof items such as linoleum or tarpaulin. The warehouse where the valve is stored should be kept clean and dry.

2. Taike valve use and maintenance

The purpose of maintenance is to extend the life of Taike valves and ensure reliable opening and closing.

Taike stem thread often rubs against stem nut and needs to be coated with yellow dry oil, molybdenum disulfide or graphite powder for lubrication.

For Taike valves that do not open and close frequently, turn the handwheel regularly to add lubricant to the valve stem threads to prevent seizure.

For outdoor Taike valves, a protective sleeve should be added to the valve stem to prevent rain, snow, dust, and rust. If the valve is mechanically ready to move, lubricate the gearbox on time.

To ensure the cleanliness of Taike valves.

Always adhere to and maintain the integrity of valve components. If the fixing nut of the handwheel falls off, it must be fully equipped and cannot be used properly. Otherwise, the upper four sides of the valve stem will be rounded, and the matching reliability will gradually be lost, and it will even fail to operate.

Do not use the valve to carry other heavy objects, do not stand on the Taike valve, etc.

The valve stem, especially the threaded part, should be wiped frequently, and the lubricant that has been contaminated by dust should be replaced with a new one. Because the dust contains shadows and debris, it is easy to wear the thread and the surface of the valve stem and affect the service life of the valve.

Valves put into operation should be maintained once every quarter, once half a year after putting into production, once a year after two years of putting into operation, and every year before the beginning of winter. Perform valve flexible operation and blowdown once a month.

3. Maintenance of packing

The packing is directly related to whether the key seal of Taike valve leakage occurs when the valve is opened and closed. If the packing fails and causes leakage, the valve will also fail. Especially the valve of the urea pipeline has relatively high temperature, so the corrosion is relatively serious. The filler is prone to ageing. Enhanced maintenance can extend the life of the packing.

When Taike valve leaves the factory, due to temperature and other factors, extravasation may occur. At this time, it is necessary to tighten the nuts on both sides of the packing gland in time. As long as there is no leakage, the extravasation will occur again in the future Tighten it, do not tighten it all at once, lest the packing loses elasticity and loses its sealing performance.

Some Taike valve packing is equipped with molybdenum dioxide grease. After several months of use, the corresponding lubricating grease should be added in time. When it is found that the packing needs to be supplemented, the corresponding packing should be added in time to ensure the sealing performance.

4. Maintenance of transmission parts

During the opening and closing process of Taike valve, the lubricating grease originally added will continue to lose, coupled with the influence of temperature and corrosion, the lubricating oil will continue to dry up. Therefore, the transmission part of the valve should be checked frequently, and it should be filled in in time if it is found, and beware of increased wear due to lack of lubricant, resulting in failures such as inflexible transmission or jamming failure.

5. Maintenance of Taike valve during grease injection

Taike valve grease injection often ignores the problem of the amount of grease injection. After the grease gun is refueled, the operator selects the connection method of the Taike valve and the grease injection, and then performs the grease injection operation. There are two situations: on the one hand, the small amount of grease injection leads to insufficient grease injection, and the sealing surface wears faster due to lack of lubricant. On the other hand, excessive fat injection causes waste. The reason is that the sealing capacity of different Taike valves is not accurately calculated according to the Taike valve type category. The sealing capacity can be calculated based on the size and category of the Taike valve, and then a reasonable amount of grease can be injected.

Taike valves often ignore pressure issues when injecting grease. During the fat injection operation, the fat injection pressure changes regularly in peaks and valleys. If the pressure is too low, the seal will leak or fail, the pressure will be too high, the grease injection port will be blocked, and the internal fat will be sealed or the sealing ring will be locked with the valve ball and valve plate. Generally, when the grease injection pressure is too low, the injected grease mostly flows into the bottom of the valve cavity, which usually occurs in small gate valves. If the grease injection pressure is too high, on the one hand, check the grease nozzle. If the grease hole is blocked, replace it. On the other hand, the grease is hardened. Use a cleaning fluid to repeatedly soften the failed sealing grease and inject new grease to replace it. In addition, the seal type and sealing material also affect the grease injection pressure. Different sealing forms have different grease injection pressures. Generally, the grease injection pressure for hard seals is higher than that for soft seals.

When the Taike valve is greased, pay attention to the problem of the switch position of the Taike valve. Taike ball valves are generally in the open position during maintenance. In special cases, they can be closed for maintenance. Other Taike valves cannot be treated as open positions. Taike gate valve must be closed during maintenance to ensure that the grease fills the sealing groove along the sealing ring. If it is open, the sealing grease will directly enter the flow path or valve cavity, causing waste.

TaikeTaike valve often overlooks the effect of grease injection when injecting grease. During the grease injection operation, the pressure, grease injection volume, and switch position are all normal. However, in order to ensure the effect of valve grease injection, it is sometimes necessary to open or close the valve to check the lubrication effect to confirm that the surface of the Taike valve ball or gate is evenly lubricated.

When injecting grease, pay attention to the problems of Taike valve body drainage and screw plug pressure relief. After the Taike valve pressure test, the gas and moisture in the sealed cavity valve cavity will increase in pressure due to the increase in ambient temperature. When grease injection, the pressure must be discharged first to facilitate the smooth operation of grease injection. After the grease is injected, the air and moisture in the sealed cavity are fully replaced. Relieve the valve cavity pressure in time, which also guarantees the safety of the valve. After grease injection, be sure to tighten the drain and pressure relief plugs to prevent accidents.

When injecting grease, also observe the flushing problem of Taike valve diameter and sealing ring seat. For example, Taike ball valve, if there is an open position interference, you can adjust the open position limiter inward to make sure that the diameter is straight. Adjusting the limit can not only pursue the opening or closing position, but should be considered as a whole. If the opening position is flush and the closing position is not in place, the valve will not close tightly. In the same way, if the adjustment is in place, the adjustment of the open position should also be considered. Ensure the right angle travel of the valve.

After grease injection, the grease injection port must be sealed. Avoid the entry of impurities, or the oxidation of lipids at the grease injection port, and the cover should be coated with anti-rust grease to avoid rust. In order to operate the application next time.
