Working Principle and Classification of Taike Valve Check Valves

Check valve: Check valve, also known as one-way valve or check valve, is used to prevent the medium in the pipeline from flowing back. The bottom valve for water pump suction and closing also belongs to the check valve category. A valve that relies on the flow and force of the medium to open or close itself, in order to prevent the medium from flowing back, is called a check valve. Check valves belong to the category of automatic valves. Check valves are mainly used in pipelines with unidirectional flow of media, allowing only one direction of media flow to prevent accidents. Check valves can be divided into three types according to their structure: lift check valves, swing check valves, and butterfly check valves. Lift check valves can be divided into two types: vertical check valves and horizontal check valves. Swing check valves are divided into three types: single disc check valves, double disc check valves, and multi disc check valves. Butterfly check valves are straight through check valves, and the above types of check valves can be divided into three types in terms of connection: threaded check valves, flange check valves, and welded check valves.

The installation of check valves should pay attention to the following matters:

1. Do not allow the check valve to bear weight in the pipeline. Large check valves should be supported independently to prevent them from being affected by the pressure generated by the pipeline system.

2. During installation, pay attention to the direction of medium flow that should be consistent with the arrow direction indicated on the valve body.

3. Lift type vertical disc check valves should be installed on vertical pipelines.

4. The lifting type horizontal disc check valve should be installed on the horizontal pipeline.

By selecting different materials, the check valve can be suitable for various media such as water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid, oxidizing media, urea, etc.
